Ministers Uncouth Comments

Of late, we are hearing Ministers say weird and silly appearance of comments as their response on events and statements made by others.

Today, as reported by Free Malaysia Today, it appears that our dear DPM Ahmad Zahid dismissed suggestions by former SB Deputy Director that his unusual transfer was linked to the sacking of former Attorney General  Abdul Gani Patail.

Zahid, as reported by the Rakyat Post and FMT (read here), to have sarcastically said “kepala dia dah masuk air“, loosely translated as “water entered his head.” Why such an uncouth retort from a dignified office?

We also recently find our IGP responding to reports of food poisoning during the Bersih 4 rally from packet drinks as possibly caused by too much chili intake (read here). That is not something for our highest ranking police officer of Malaysia to brush aside.

Next, we have Minister of Urban Well being, Housing and Local Government Ahmad Dahlan threatening Bersih 2.0 to dump rubbish outside their office after the next protest if they refuse to pay a RM65,000 bill (read here).

Why is it that our highly regarded Ministers and IGP need to resort to responses that are uncalled for, lowly cultured, unprofessional and totally uncaring? Don’t they sound like a spoilt brat retorts, much like uncultured people, very un-Malaysian?
